Description: Structural stone staircase and fireplace cladding made in Bianco Avorio.
Starting from the architect's idea, together with the client, GRASSI 1880 CAVE made the construction of this cantilevered staircase possible, also taking care of the static calculations and establishing the number and characteristics of the stainless steel bars and the anchors to the wall.
This staircase is developed in 2 parts: a first solid part which includes 8 solid steps measuring 119x31.5x12 cm. with nr. 3 12mm stainless steel bars inserted inside, solid stone landing measuring 194x95.5x12 cm. weighing half a ton with nr. 12 12mm stainless steel bars inserted inside.
The second part we covered the staircase in reinforced concrete with treads and risers of sp. 3cm. always the same stone honed finish.
In addition to taking care of the construction, we studied together with one of our consultants and the company the most suitable fastening system to make this work safe and stable over time.
As admitted by the client himself, this staircase gives the environment a tone of modernity and denotes a careful study not only in aesthetic and functional terms, but also in engineering since it is a product made in absolutely natural stone with its own unique characteristics.
